Stingray Boats - The Stinger

Dear Stingray Customers,

The holidays are in full swing! It’s that time of year where we remember and recognize all the things we’re thankful for, and all the people in our lives that mean so much to us. Here at the plant, we set aside time with all of our employees to have a Thanksgiving luncheon last month, and we’ll be doing a Christmas luncheon soon as well.

We love this time of year as we reflect on 2022 and how we’ll improve moving forward into 2023. Some of you have been a customer of ours for decades, and some of you are brand new to the Stingray family…but each one of you is so very important to us. You help make us better each and every year, and we’re proud to have you as a part of our ever-growing family.

We hope you have plans to spend time with loved ones as we close out this year. We will be shutting down our facility between Christmas and New Year to provide a much-needed break for our hard-working employees. They’ve been working around the clock building all your Stingrays. This time of year feels a little like Santa’s workshop around here as we work to deliver completed boats we know you’re excited to receive.

We’ve had a wonderful year here at Stingray, from bringing out more new models like our 273CC and 211DC, to adding more talented employees to our skilled labor force. And we’re looking forward to an even better 2023 with all of you.

If you get out on your Stingray over the holidays, make sure and snap some videos and photos and send them to us so we can share your joy on our social media channels with others! We love to see you all enjoying your Stingrays!

We wish everyone a safe and joyful Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sincerely,

Barry Avent, President, Stingray Boats

EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHTS

Assembly – Jazen Ferguson (pictured left) & Omar DeJesus (pictured right)

Omar is a new employee that has been with us for three months now. Omar works in final finishing, with a major responsibility of hanging the engine on the boats. He also handles wiring for the engine rigging. He came to Stingray from the immediate area and had heard about what a great place Stingray was to work. He loves the people he works with and loves that we’re a community driven company. Omar has one child, and his hard work on the plant floor is certainly making his child proud.

Jazen is a new employee that has been with us for a month. His responsibilities include installing hoses, screws, cup holders and tubs in the deck boats and dual consoles. Jazen is also from the immediate area and came to work at Stingray by way of recommendation from Omar. He loves the benefits we provide our employees and truly enjoys those he works with here at the plant.

Shipping – William McDonald (pictured left) & Terrell Thomas (pictured right)

William…no not William…Bubba, as he’s called around here, has worked at Stingray for 10 years. In that time, he’s only missed one day of attendance. He came to us from Winston Salem, NC, and has two children and three grandchildren. Bubba takes great pride in his work as he’s on the “last line of defense” before the new models are shipped out. His duties go beyond loading boats and extend to making sure the boats are in tip top shape prior to being loaded. Bubba would also like you to know he’s single and ready to mingle.

Bubba’s counterpart – and vice versa – is Terrell. Terrell also works in shipping and shares the same responsibilities as Bubba. He’s been with us for eight years now and together they make quite the team. He is married and has two children. He loves the Stingray team and knows his quality of work adds to the customer getting the best experience when purchasing a Stingray.

Both Bubba and Terrell treat every boat leaving the yard as if it were their boat, so the attention to detail and work pride is unmatched. They create quite the dynamic team together. Although Terrell isn’t so sure Bubba is ready to mingle…
